John Klein is a Senior Industry Specialist with AEG Partners. Mr. Klein spent his entire career in the furniture retail business and is very knowledgeable of the key players and issues affecting the industry today. Mr. Klein spent almost 20 years working at Wickes Furniture Company, most recently as its President and Chief Executive Officer before selling the company in 2002.

Wickes Furniture is one of the nation's leading furniture retailers in the United States with 39 retail locations in six major regional markets. The Company employs over 1,800 people and sells more than 2,400 active SKUs across product categories including upholstery, bedroom, dining room, leather, bedding, home office/home entertainment, occasional, dinettes and accessories.

During his tenure, Mr. Klein positioned Wickes Furniture for exceptional growth and prosperity through the utilization of strong brand name recognition and its key market leadership position in the markets it served. In August 2002, Mr. Klein led the sale of Wickes Furniture to Sun Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm and to an affiliate of Rooms To Go, giving added capital strength to Wickes and the opportunity to create added value through the sharing of knowledge and best business practices.

Prior to Wickes Furniture, Mr. Klein was the Vice President of Merchandising responsible for furniture and other household items for a division of The Federated Stores.
