Craig Dean is a Principal of AEG Partners, joining in August 2000 shortly after the founding of the firm. He has over 25 years progressive experience working with troubled companies, managing business turnarounds as well as other corporate leadership roles. His work at AEG has focused on large, complex business turnarounds and restructuring engagements for distressed companies in the roles of strategic advisor, Chief Restructuring Officer and interim President.

Mr. Dean has completed numerous corporate restructurings requiring operational repositioning, recapitalizations, divestitures and significant cost reduction initiatives. His experience spans a wide range of industries, engagements in automotive supply, building products, direct marketing, direct sales, printing, professional services and real estate. Recent AEG engagements include serving as Chief Restructuring Officer for a building products distributor, financial advisor to a specialty food products company, and advisor on a mixed-use real estate development.

Prior to joining AEG, Mr. Dean served as President and founding partner of BankAmerica International Investment Corporation, focused on making investments in Latin America. At a predecessor bank, Continental Bank, Mr. Dean implemented turnarounds of multiple corporate lending and corporate finance units. He is an active member of Young Presidents Organization, The Turnaround Management Association, Association of Insolvency Advisors, the Association for Corporate Growth and The Economics Club of Chicago.
