Larry Adelman co-founded AEG Partners to focus on advisory and restructuring services for under-performing and distressed companies. Building on his 25-year plus successful track record in the field, Mr. Adelman has an extensive background working on both the operational and financial issues facing troubled firms, often serving in the role of chief restructuring officer or financial advisor. He specializes in dealing with complex and difficult situations.
Mr. Adelman has worked in a wide range of industries, with experience in the furniture, retail, grocery, steel, direct marketing, telecom, healthcare, mining and contracting service industries. He has extensive experience in consumer products and the various channels of distribution. Recent engagements include serving as Chief Restructuring Officer for a number of companies operating under Chapter 11, including a direct marketing/fulfillment business, a provider of industrial cleaning services, and telecom services provider. Mr. Adelman has also served as Chief Restructuring Officer or board advisor in numerous consensual restructuring engagements and has led a variety of AEG debtor advisory engagements.
Mr. Adelman is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors, as a National Officer and as President of the Chicago Chapter. Prior to founding AEG in 2000, Mr. Adelman ran the restructuring firm Alliance Capital. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional through the Turnaround Management Association.
