A co-founder and principal of AEG, Lawrence Adelman has a 20-plus year successful track record in corporate restructuring and hands-on operating experience at distressed companies. Mr. Adelman has led numerous engagements for AEG including serving as President of a $450 million marketing/fulfillment company, lead advisor to the unsecured creditors in a steel company bankruptcy, Chief Restructuring Officer for a pharmaceutical manufacturer, and advising on the restructuring of a specialty printer. Earlier, Mr. Adelman founded Alliance Capital Group, Inc, which successfully orchestrated the restructuring of over 50 middle market companies. Mr. Adelman is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and as President of the Chicago Chapter. He is also founder and member of the Steering Committee for the Center for Corporate Change of the Vail Institute. He holds a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Dean, a principal of AEG, has extensive background in working with troubled companies, managing business turnarounds as well as other corporate leadership roles. His most recent engagements at AEG include serving as interim President for a troubled specialty flexible packaging manufacturer, restructuring advisor on a complex recapitalization of a distressed manufacturer, restructuring advisor for a publicly traded software company, and leading the sale process of a multi-brand direct marketer operating under Chapter 11. Prior to joining AEG, Mr. Dean was President and CEO of thebizbank.com. Earlier, he served as President and founding partner of BankAmerica International Investment Corporation and led the largest restructuring resulting from that bank’s acquisition of Continental Bank. Mr. Dean is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Dean holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Warner A. Fite Managing Director

Warner A. Fite is a Managing Director of AEG and the senior executive in the New York office. In over 20 years of professional experience, he has managed troubled businesses, worked out distressed loans, and been a private equity investor. Prior to joining AEG, Mr. Fite was the principal of Austerlitz Management, L.L.C. where he successfully completed a number of financial restructurings for private equity-sponsored businesses and served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of companies in transition. Previously, Mr. Fite was Senior Vice President of Merrill Lynch Interfunding Inc. responsible for working out a troubled $1.3 billion portfolio of mezzanine debt and private equity investments, and Vice President and Limited Partner of Merrill Lynch Capital Partners, Inc. He earned his AB degree magna cum laude in Political Economy from Princeton University.
Michael P. Goldsmith Managing Director

Michael P. Goldsmith is a co-founder and principal of AEG and a leading investment strategist specializing in general management and the turnaround of distressed investments. Recent AEG engagements include advisor to the debtor for a comprehensive financial restructuring of an auto parts manufacturer and serving as the advisor to a multi-line manufacturer to achieve a consensual capital restructuring. Previously, Mr. Goldsmith served as Group President of Heller Financial Real Estate Finance, founded the $250 million Heller Mezzanine Capital Fund, and headed Hellers Workout Group. Mr. Goldsmith also worked for Bank of America, where he was responsible for the workout of a $750 million portfolio. Mr. Goldsmith is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Urban Land Institute and Association for Corporate Growth. He earned his MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Michigan.
John F. Pantone Managing Director

John F. Pantone specializes in the real estate debt and equity capital markets including dealing with distressed company real estate. His AEG engagements have included formulating and managing a strategy to dispose of a portfolio of ten real estate properties on behalf of a company in Chapter 11, and a lease mitigation strategy for a public software company. Prior to joining AEG in April of 2001, Mr. Pantone held positions at Hanover Financial Company, a private equity firm, and The Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, where he completed $110 million in debt placements. Until 1998, Mr. Pantone was Senior Investment Officer of Heller Financials Credit Tenant Property Group, where he closed over 75 debt and equity transactions totaling $600 million in capitalization. Mr. Pantone is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He earned his BA in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Jude M. Sullivan Managing Director

Mr. Sullivan, who has more than fourteen years experience as a corporate transactional attorney, joined AEG partners in June 2004. Most recently he served as a consultant to the bankruptcy estate of divine, inc., a Chicago based software and professional services company. Prior to the consulting engagement, Mr. Sullivan served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of divine where he was chief counsel and advisor to the board of directors, instrumental in negotiating venture capital transactions through which in excess of $350 million was deployed to more than thirty portfolio companies, and instrumental in the acquisition of more than twenty-five entities in 2001 and 2002.
Prior to joining divine, Mr. Sullivan was a partner in the corporate group at Katten Muchin Zavis and Rosenman, a Chicago based law firm, and was also formerly a partner in the corporate group at Hopkins & Sutter. Mr. Sullivan is an experienced corporate counselor and has managed a variety of complex transactions both as outside and in-house counsel. Mr. Sullivan is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law.

Kevin Angeles brings a broad background in deal structuring, corporate finance, business valuation and financial analysis to AEG. Previously, Mr. Angeles was the Director of Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions for Homestore, Inc., a leading media and technology provider to the real estate industry. At Homestore, Mr. Angeles was responsible for structuring and analyzing the company's strategic and key financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, investments, strategic alliances, asset disposals, as well as the company’s own financial restructuring. Prior to that, Mr. Angeles was a Manager in The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Controllership Group, responsible for providing accounting and financial guidance in structuring investments and transactions. He was also Corporate Audit Manager for Arthur Andersen LLP, specializing in its manufacturing, retail and distribution practice. Mr. Angeles holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
